Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1 cup soy milk
- about 7-8 frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup frozen raspberries
How to make Thick BS Smoothie
The first time I made this berry-soy (hence BS), I was surprised that it was so sweet even with no sugar or sweetener. The magic of natural sugar. :) This smoothie has a thick consistency. I like to spoon it like frozen yogurt or a dessert. If you like it more watery, just add more milk. You do not need ice cause the frozen fruits are like ice cubes themselves. Plus ice waters down the smoothie and that ain't good.
- Put all the fruits into a food processor or blender.
- Add the milk.
- Blend that sucker until it's nice and smooooth.
*Makes two servings.

iconsam saysNice! Next time, try this recipe, but freeze the fruit first! That way you don't use extra ice, but it becomes a nice sorbet like smoothie.

iconsam saysOy... I need to read more.. I just realized that you mentioned frozen.. I'm an idiot.

Larph saysI've got to keep my eyes peeled for froxen fruits next time I am at the supermarket. Mainly becuase I am too lazy to buy fresh fruit, package it and then freeze it. But delicious looking drink!

SerenDippity saysThe bananas can be frozen too. Seems like every time I buy bananas at least one gets too ripe before I'm ready to eat it. When they are just a bit too ripe for my taste but before they are nasty, I peel them and put them into a zipper freezer bag. When the bag gets full, I make banana bread. Or pull out one or two frozen bananas at a time for smoothies. yummy, creamy smooth.
