Ingredients
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 lb cheese (shredded) (8oz sharp cheddar & 8oz monterey jack/colby mix)
- 1.5 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp oil (olive, vegetable)
- 1 cup beer
- 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
How to make Cheese Beer Fondue
In medium mixing bowl combine flour, cheese and dry mustard; mix thoroughly and set aside.
In medium saucepan* saute garlic in oil until light brown. Reduce to medium heat then add beer and worcestershire sauce. Heat mixture until it starts to bubble and then gradually add cheese while stirring. Continue to heat and stir until cheese is completely melted and you have a smooth melted mixture. (approximately 5 minutes)
Transfer mixture to fondue pot and enjoy!
Suggested dipping options: bread, cauliflower, apples, carrots...anything else you want covered in an awesome cheese mixture!
*Note: if you have a high end fondue pot then you can use it to do the entire process instead of the stovetop. (use temp around 375 degrees)
