chicken murtabak -(chicken curry parcel)

1. For the dough:
4 cups flour
2 tbsp condense milk
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm water

oil or melted ghee

For fillings:
1/2 piece chicken breast -minced
1 onion-chopped
3 potatoes-cut into small cubes-boil to soften
1 sprig curry leaves-optional
2 tbsp curry powder
1/2 cup water
salt to taste

How to make chicken murtabak -(chicken curry parcel)

1. Dissolved milk and sugar in water, add salt. then add flour and using an electric mixer , beat till elastic for about 15 mins. Cover and leave for 2 to 3 hours.
2. meantime , in a wok, heat 4 tbsp oil, add onions and curry leaves, fry till soft, then add curry paste (curry powder +water) Fry till aroma.
3. Add chicken and potatoes.  season with salt and 1 tsp sugar. Stir and fry till dry, then its ready to use.
4. Greased a working surface with oil. put dough on the working surface and cut into 10 to 12 pieces smaller dough and take each dough and place in your palm.
5. With your finger pull one end of the dough towards the center until you get a round ball.
6. leave for an hour to rest.
7. Spread the dough wide on the oily surface pulling every corner to a thin sheet of paper.
8. Add 2 tbsp of fillings in the center and fold the dough into a parcel.
9 . Flip the parcel onto a heated  greased pan and fry till golden brown on both side by pressing flat with your spatula.
10. OPTIONAL:- you can spread a little beaten egg on top and turn and do the same the other side .
11. Serve hot with lentil curry -(recipe in my page here)

you can also eat this without the fillings . Spread it thinly sprinkle some oil or ghee and pull one end high and curl up and leave for few mins before you flatten it and fry it .
Another way is to place some slice banana and sugar and wrap up and fry .
