Ingredients
3/4 cup Indian yellow lentil-washed12 cups water
400gm chicken bone or rib bones
1 white onion-sliced
3 large potatoes- cut half
10 french beans, pluck 2 " length
1 or 2 egg plants- cut 2 " length
6 cherry tomatoes
2 tbsp tamarind - extract juice by adding 1/2 cup water.
1 pkt instant coconut milk
1/2 cup evaporated milk.
salt to taste
ingredients to be blended finely:
2 red onions
1/2 clove garlic
1" ginger
2 large tomatoes
2 tbsp curry powder
3 cardamoms
1 (2inches) stick cinnamon
3 cloves
some chopped coriander
How to make Lentil curry
1. Boil lentil and bones in water till soft.
2. In a heated pan with 3 tbsp oil, saute white onion and spices and the blended ingredients .
3. Add curry powder. Cooked till aroma.
4. Add curry mixture to soft lentil.
5 Then add the vegetables. Add coconut milk. Cook till soft.
6. Season and lastly add evaporated milk, and coriander leaves.
