Ingredients
2 yam shoots- peel and cut shorter length200gm pond snails-wash and nip off the tip
10 chili padi-(small chillies)or 1 red chilly,pounded
1 large onion-chopped
2 cm turmeric root-pounded
1 stalk lemon grass
2 pieces turmeric leaves ,tear
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
How to make snails in creamy coconut milk with yam shoot
1. Boil the yam shoot for 3 mins in water.Drain and discard water.
2. Heat 3 tbsp oil and saute pounded ingredients and onion.
3. Add coconut milk , yam shoot and then snails.
4 Add lemon grass and turmeric leaves.
5 let boils for for few mins till snails are cooked.
serve hot with plain rice.
NOTE: the reason to nip off the tip of the snails so when you eat the flesh its easy to come out by sucking it.
