Ingredients

300 gm sweet potato-peeled
4 cups flour
1 tbsp instant yeast
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup milk powder
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup or less warm water
40gm butter

For garnish:
melted butter
sesame seeds
garlic powder
toasted garlic
rosemary
cheese sliced- cut into small squares


How to make sweet potato bread


1. Boil the potato until soft in water , Drain. mash it until fine while still hot.
2. Mix all the dough ingredients together with the mashed potato and knead well to form a non sticky dough.
3. cover and let it rise double.
4. divide dough into 5 or 6 portions.
5. with each dough, using your finger to bring the dough into the center and then turn over and using just the side of your palm pushing the dough closely and tightly to form a round ball.
6. Using a rolling pin, roll into 1/2 inch thick into an oval share. Sprinkle with olive oil and sprinkle any of the garnish ingredients.
7.Place on a greased tray and leave to rise for 1/2 to 1 hour.
8 Bake in a preheated oven at 250 C for 10 to 15 mins or till golden on top. Brush with melted butter.
NOTE:
this bread is nice to eat with hot creamy soup !!or with curry.
