Ingredients
pastry A:300gm flour
150gm butter
3 tbsp sugar
pastry B:
150gm flour
100gm butter
filling:
200gm red bean
12 cups water
200gm sugar
2 pandanus leave- optional
How to make Tausa pia (redbean in pastry)
1.Boil red bean in water with pandanus leaves until soft.
2. Cool and grind to paste. Heat pan or wok with 100gm butter and add the red bean.
3 Add sugar and stir under slow heat until very thick. Cool.
To make pastry:
1. Mix the ingredient A to soft dough. Mix B.
2. Put the B dough in the A dough and wrap it up and roll. Wrap and roll, repeat 3 times.
3. Cut smaller balls and shape and fill up with red bean paste. Seal and Bake in moderate oven for 30 to 40 mins.
4. Store in air tight container , will last for a week.
