How to make Spicy Burgers
I love burgers, and I love knowing these ones are actually OK, health-wise.
The list above makes 4 large patties.
- Add all ingredients bar the beef to a food processor
- Process on pulse setting so all ingredients finely chopped but not pureed
- Tip into large bowl
- Add beef and, using your clean hands, mix well
- Split mixture into quarters
- Tightly compress quarters into balls
- Create 4 patties from the balls by patting them from one palm to the other
- Patties should end up about three-quarter inch thick, 3-4 inches diameter
- Place on plate. Refigerate for about 30 mins (to help them 'set' which makes grilling them easier)
- Heat grill to medium. Oil when at temp
- Add patties. Grill for 5 mins each side (for medium-rare)
- Drain for 1 minute on paper towel
- Serve on toasted buns with mayonnaise and cheese slices
