Beef and sweet potato (yam) casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Peanut oil (groundnut)
  • 150-200g beef mince (ground beef)
  • 1 large sweet potato, diced (yam)
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • Water
  • Splash of sake
  • Splash of soy sauce

How to make Beef and sweet potato (yam) casserole


Can be eaten on it's own, or served with a side dish. Something like short-grain rice or a bowl of fresh vegetables.

Serves 2

  1. Fry onion and beef together until cooked

  2. Add water, sake, soy sauce and sweet potato

  3. Mix, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the sweet potato is cooked.
