  • glutinous rice
  • chicken thigh or wing
  • mushroom
  • soy sauce
  • dark soy sauce
  • salt
  • sesame oil
  • white pepper
  • chinese sausage (optional)

How to make Steamed Glutinuos Rice a.k.a Loh Mai Kai

All you need to do is to chuck everything in rice cooker (I prefer using dish pot) & and cook the same way we cook our normal plain rice. Just need to reduce the water by 1/4.

As simple as ABC ya?! Worth trying & it is as nice as those sell outside..sticky & smells great!

    I am eating this as I type right now. The rice cooker is the ONLY way to make sticky rice. Wish mine was bigger since it only holds 1 1/2 cups of rice. I eat half in one sitting!

    Hi Katgirl, I eat the same portion as u :) well, if you have a big dish pot and you know how to cook rice manually and controlling the heat, you can then cook more!
