Ingredients300gm mackerel fish meat- minced
1 tsp tapioca flour
1 tsp salt
dash of white pepper
3 tbsp chopped spring onion
2 tbsp chopped chinese parsley
2 piece bean curd-cut diagonal- split open a little
1 red onion-chopped finely
2 pips garlic -chopped finely
1 tbsp chopped ginger
1 tbsp finely grind anchovies
1/2 tsp oyster sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 head bak choi
some chopped parsley
How to make Fish balls and tauhu soup
1. Mixed the fish with flour, egg ,seasoning and spring onion and parsley. Shape in balls and some stuff inside the bean curd.
2. Deep fry the bean curd . You can also deep fry some of the fish balls and some just add to the soup.
3. Saute the chopped ingredients till aroma and the anchovies.
4. Add about 3 to 4 cups water, let it boil, then add the fish balls and bean curds. Let it simmer for 15 mins. Add bak choi and chopped pasrley. season to taste.
you can add glass noodle or any noodle of your choice too.
You can also buy ready made fish balls in town but it would taste as nice as home made. Usually the market fish balls are springy and more to flour than the meat.
