2 large pieces mackerel- deboned cut in cube
1 tsp salt
1 tsp white pepper
100gm prawns
50gm fish cake or balls

1 cup thick coconut milk
1 cup light coconut milk
1 can bamboo shoot-sliced

Pounded ingredients
10 small chillies (thai chillies), lessen for mild spicy
1" fresh turmeric root
2 slices galangal
1 lemon grass, sliced

2 pieces asam keping ( dried tamarind)
1 tsp salt or fish sauce

For component:
some convolvulus ( kangkong) or any green vegetable 
500gm flat rice noodle or noodle of your choice-blanch

How to make Gulai Kuih Teow Siam

1 Rub fish in salt and pepper.
2. Mix the pounded ingredients and asam keping with the light coconut milk.Bring to boil slow .
3. Add fish, prawns, bamboo shoot , fish cake and  thick coconut and let boil until fish is cook. season to taste.
4. Add Flat noodle and vegetables in bowl, pour soup with the seafoods too. Serve hot.
I used flat rice noodle because I prefer flat noodle. but you can use yellow noodle or vermicelli, even spaghetti.
